Demetra Art Hotel is a new four star boutique hotel in the very center of Saint Petersburg. The apartment house building that houses the hotel nowadays was built in 1913 upon the project of architect Wilhelm Van der Gucht, one of the brightest representatives of late eclecticism and art nouveau in the architecture of the early 20th century. The hotel is within walking distance of Nevsky prospekt (the most central street in Saint Petersburg), Moskovskiy railway station (the main railway station) as well as many city sights. The upper floors have a wonderful panoramic view over the Peter and Paul Fortress, the St. Isaac’s and the Smolny Cathedrals. The nearest metro station is just one minute walk from the hotel. The Demetra Art Hotel interiors were designed in Italy and represent different periods in the history of St. Petersburg. All rooms are air conditioned and soundproofed.
