Bus Service Between Bars
In St. Petersburg there is now a bus that will take you from bar to bar around the city center of St. Petersburg. The project, which was brought to life by the owners of the "Bubble Bar", which was forced to close on Konyushoniya Square due to the development of high-end establishments, runs on Friday and Saturday nights from 23:00 to 6:00.
The bus will bring a new alternative form of transportation to St. Petersburg active night life and avid bar hoppers. The route currently includes 10 stops, although plans are to increase this number, with an interval of 45 minutes to complete all the stops of the route.
Currently there is only one bus on the route, but the projects managers plan to add two more before summer. The stops along the way include popular bar/clubs such as: Dacha, Dom Bita, Gribiedov, Jesus and Duni, Igrateka, Bar 812, Mishka, Efir, Music Hall, and Konyushoniya Square where several bars are located.
The new bus can carry 8 people and costs 100 rub for single riders, but 50 rubles for groups of 3 or more. Also there is an option to buy a ticket for 250 rubles that will allow you to ride as many times as you want all night. This can be quite an alternative to walking long distances at night after drinking, especially during winter when temperatures can be as low as -30! But also an alternative to the most common night transport from bar to bar of gypsy cabs, which can be dangerous.
Enjoy the new service, and take advantage of it to see some of the St. Petersburg night life!
