We had the most wonderful trip. We never realized that Russia was such a beautiful country and so steeped in history. The crew members could not do enough to help us, always with a cheerful smile. We learnt some Russian dancing, and completed the Russian language course. There were only 12 English speaking passengers and our tour guide was a young lady called Anastasia, we all fell in love with her.
The cruise from Moscow to St.Petersburg was spectacular. The rivers, lakes and locks as well as the vast expanses of Russia boggled the mind. I walked miles and miles and felt so safe and people helped me at every turn. I loved the Armory in Moscow, the Hermitage was beyond fabulous. Pushkin and Catherine's Summer Palace were awe inspiring, to have such wealth for so many centuries is truly a great undertaking. It is a journey that I will remember and we will return.
