The VI International Festival All Together Opera starts off in St. Petersburg

The VI St. Petersburg International All Together Opera Festival takes place from 12th till 22nd of July. During these days the masterpieces of the opera's classic will be presented for the listeners. For the opening day was selected the opera of Mikhail Glinka "Ruslan and Ludmila"; the conductor and art director of the Festival has been Victor Visotsky. 
 
Every year, the All Together Opera is being held on the most beautiful open stages of St. Petersburg, with the city's architecture as the background. Following the tradition, the opening of the Festival is arranged on 12th of July on the day of the Sain Peter and Paul in the very heart of St. Petersburg - at the Cathedral square of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
 
This year, for the first time, the street of Zodchego Rossi was selected as an Opera stage. Here will be played the Opera of Giuseppe Verdi "Rigoletto" staged by Vasily Zarzhetsky. In front of the palace on Yelagin Island, the visitors will enjoy a romantic fairy tale by Carl Maria von Weber "The Free Shooter", with Dmitry Otyakovsky as a staging director of the performance.
 
The last play will be held at the open-air museum Tsarskoe Selo. The Opera of George Bizet "Carmen" will be staged on the Main Courtyard of the Catherine Palace.
