Sting in St. Petersburg

As part of his world tour to present his new album Symphonicity, and as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, BRitish rock star and former member of The Police, gave a free concert on the Palace square in front of the Hermitage last night.

The economic forum is expecting 5,000 official visitors, and several thousands of them were treated by Sting to a wonderful open air concert. The audience enjoyed Sting’s timeless hits in the new orchestral arrangements, including Shape of my Heart, Desert Rose, Englishman in New York, Fragile and Russians, and songs from his repertoire with The Police in the 1970-80s.

As part of the concert Sting was accompanied on stage by the Russian National Orchestra.
